DIY NETWORK KITCHEN #2

This is the first of two kitchens we designed for Kitchen Renovations, the DIY Network series hosted by Paul Ryan (far right, photo below).  The goal for the project was to turn this bland seventies kitchen into something more consistent with the contemporary tastes of its two owners, both young hip bachelors.  The owners also wanted a more direct connection to the living room, where they often hung out.  By removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room and adding materials and finishes that had a lot more "spark" to them, this kitchen became the centerpiece to this new and improved bachelor pad.  Photos by Ehlen Creative
