STILLWATER PRAIRIE

Our client's Stillwater home was perched on a magnificent site on the bluffs overlooking the St. Croix River.  Unfortunately her 1959 rambler wasn't quite so magnificent.  She wanted to change that and began with the inside a few years ago and started with the exterior this year.  After extensive research, we settled on a large-scale cottage look with flanking gable ends and second-story shed dormer.  This made sense both for the area and for what we'd done on the interior.  Though we've not seen it with the landscaping in place, so far we think it looks just right on its site.  Built by Candlewood Carpentry, Photos by Dave Kurtovich
